"This will be a remarkable year for AIU Online. Our students have much to be excited about as they are realizing their dreams of earning a degree."
Letter from the President Return to CareerPointers™ Home
This will be a remarkable year for AIU Online. Our students have much to be excited about as they are realizing their dreams of earning a degree.

We have started the year strong by offering more concentrations within our business and information technology degree programs—giving students the opportunity to earn specialized degrees in some of the fastest growing job sectors.

At the beginning of this year, hundreds of students participated in our second virtual graduation ceremony where former congressman Jack Kemp was the keynote speaker. There were many friends and family members of students who logged on and watched as the names of their loved ones received their degrees. We received many positive remarks after the ceremony from students and guests and enjoyed celebrating this important milestone with our graduates.

We rolled out CommonGround™ Lite within our Schools of Business and Information Technology, so that students can experience an even more engaging and collaborative level of learning. CommonGround™ Lite is an interactive platform we use to blend asynchronous and synchronous communication. This creates a community for students, enabling a dynamic exchange between professors and classmates. Real-time learning events, public and private text chat capabilities, the integration of visual aids using whiteboards and additional robust functionality are included in the new medium.

AIU Online will continue to integrate new programs and concentrations into our schools to give students additional educational options. Our technology will also continue to be enhanced so that students benefit from superior student services while obtaining the education they will need to change their lives and realize their dreams.

Sincerely,
