Q: Tell me about yourself?
This is not the time to tell them about your dog Pete. The interviewer is interested in hearing about how your professional background relates to their open position.
Q: Why would you be a good fit for this position?
If you can't answer this one, you probably won't get a call back! This is a great time to explain your previous experience, what you learned from it and how it will help you with this company.
Q: What is your biggest weakness?
It's not a good idea to talk about how you are always running late. Employers want to know about something you may have struggled with in the past and how you learned from it.
Q: What interests you about our company?
The company may have a great atrium, fitness center and insurance but you shouldn't focus on this. You want to express your interest in the growth potential of the company and position.
Q: Why did you leave your last company?
Even though you may not have liked your last boss, avoid being negative. Talk about the positives of your previous position and why you think this position is a better fit.
